Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 17 Review

Character Development in MY Isekai?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 17 didn’t have great action. It didn’t even have cool lore to dump on us. But, what it did have was character development. And if you ask me, that was pretty neat.

Specifically, there were two characters who got development: Rudeus and Norn. So, let’s talk about Norn’s development first because it influences Rudeus’s development.

Norn is becoming a shut-in. She stopped going to class and doesn’t seem to have any friends. Instead, she spends all her time wallowing in her sorrow, alone in her dorm room. And, this is something we should be familiar with.

Rudeus was the same way before he was reincarnated into this world. He was bullied at school, became a shut-in, lost his friends, and even pushed his family away. It’s the exact stuff Norn is doing now.

Rudeus’s older brother talking to him in his past life

The major difference between Norn and Rudeus in his past life is their reasons for becoming shut-ins. As I said, Rudeus was bullied. Norn, however, isn’t being bullied. She’s tired of everyone comparing her to her genius older brother, whom she hates. Everyone wants and expects her to be like him.

Now, what about Rudeus? His development is the really good stuff. For the first time, he’s on the other side of a very familiar situation. Instead of being the shut-in getting consoled by his older brother, Rudeus is the older brother consoling the shut-in.

What I liked most about this, though, is that it doesn’t come naturally to Rudeus. He doesn’t think, “I’ve been in Norn’s position so I know what to say to her.” The opposite is true. He’s now realizing how difficult it must have been for his own brother.

Norn Is Afraid of Rudeus

At the end of my Episode 16 review, I made a prediction about Norn. That prediction turned out to be incorrect. So, let’s go over what it was and why it was wrong.

The prediction was that Norn doesn’t actually hate Rudeus. Instead, she feels abandoned by him because he wasn’t there for her, Aisha, and the rest of the family after the teleportation incident. Of course, that wasn’t Rudeus’s fault, and I assumed Norn would come to terms with that.

As I mentioned, that’s not correct. That’s not why Norn hates Rudeus. She hates him because she’s afraid of him.

Norn comes up with excuses for why she doesn’t like Rudeus, such as how he’s with a different woman every time she sees him. But, the one reason she gave that wasn’t an excuse was that Rudeus hit Paul. Norn saw this happen when she was young, and it scared her.

Aisha, Rudeus, and Sylphie from the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 17
Aisha, Rudeus, and Sylphie

She’s actually afraid that Rudeus could hurt her. Well, she knows he won’t. But, there’s always that thought in the back of her mind. And, even if he doesn’t hurt her, he might throw her out, which she also doesn’t want.

Why does she still think that, though? Rudeus hit Paul a long time ago at this point. And since then, Norn’s heard from everyone, including Paul, how great Rudeus is. Well, that might actually be part of the problem. Not only did Norn see a violent side of Rudeus, but since then, she’s been told how strong and influential he is.

If someone has strong and influential as Rudeus decides he doesn’t like her, what’s protecting Norn? She can’t fight back against him and most others around can’t, either. And if he decides she’s “bad,” everyone’s going to listen to him, not her.

Was Anything Solved in the End?

At the end of the episode, it looks like Norn is no longer afraid of Rudeus. She understands that he wants what’s best for her. But, she never tells Rudeus any of this. Instead, she just starts going back to school, makes friends, and treats Rudeus like family.

So, everything’s solved, right? I don’t know about that. On the surface, yes. Everything should be good between Norn and Rudeus now. However, to me, it looks like these two still have a long way to go.

As Rudeus said, Norn seems to have figured everything out for herself. He didn’t do or say anything. And, that kind of leaves his development unfinished. Yes, he now understands how his own older brother felt. But, he still doesn’t have the answer. What should his brother have said to him at the time? And what should he have said to Norn?

Ruijerd talking to Norn about Rudeus from the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 17
Ruijerd talking to Norn about Rudeus

For Norn, there’s still the question of what she wants from her relationship with Rudy. They’re on fine terms now. But, I still wouldn’t say they’re close. Is that how Norn wants things to stay? The cover art and OP for this season imply otherwise.

I don’t know if she’ll decide she wants to emulate Rudeus or be her own person. Probably the latter since it might already be too late for her to become a genius like him. But, what’s that going to look like? Is she going to ask him to teach her?

In a way, that would make sense. However, I’m hoping that’s not what happens. Instead, I’d like to see her ask someone else to be her teacher. That person could be Sylphie. Or, it could be someone more interesting, like Princess Ariel. Norn doesn’t have to become a mage at all.

Final Thoughts

What do you think of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 17? Did you like the parallels between what Rudeus went through and what Norn is going through? Was Norn right to be afraid of Rudeus? And, in what direction do you think Norn and Rudeus’s relationship is going to go in?

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139 Review

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139 Review

America’s #1 Hero

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139 is the first episode of the new season. This was an alright episode. We got our formal introduction to America’s #1 hero, Star and Stripe, including her quirk. So, that was cool. But, the action in this episode was a bit lacking.

Let’s talk about Star and Stripe. She’s cool. Why? Because she’s super strong. In general, the heroes I think are cool are those who are either super strong or who have a super niche quirk. All Might at full strength is cool. And, as I’ve said many times, Rock Lock is my favorite hero. I love his quirk.

Star and Stripe is like a mix of both categories. Yes, she’s extremely strong and has a very versatile quirk. But, her quirk is also oddly specific. It can do a lot of different things, but it has rules.

Cathleen Bate from the anime series My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139
Cathleen Bate

I’ll get into Star and Stripe’s quirk more in a bit. For now, though, who is she as a person? She’s kind of the most American a superhero can be. She’s super buff, blonde, and has a somewhat generic “American” name. Spelling Cathleen with a C is a choice. But, Bate is pretty generic as a last name.

As you’d expect of America’s #1 hero, she’s also affiliated with the US Military. Of course, the United States would enlist its strongest heroes into its armed forces. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the US is doing human experimentation to manufacture stronger quirks.

Anyway, Cathleen also has her own Air Force squadron. These pilots serve as her personal transportation and also support her in combat. So, villains, watch out. You don’t only have to worry about America’s #1 hero. You also have to worry about her stealth fighters equipped with lasers.

Star and Stripe (Female All Might)

In a lot of ways, Star and Stripe is the female All Might. She doesn’t have the same quirk as All Might, obviously. And, her quirk isn’t even that similar to All Might’s. But, she emulates All Might in almost everything she does.

She has hair antennae, just like all might. And, her superhero outfit is even reminiscent of All Might’s, though with more of an American flair. With that said, the outfit similarity could also be because All Might’s outfit is actually based on American superhero outfits.

Of course, these two are also similar in how muscular they are. Well, All Might isn’t muscular anymore, but you get the idea. The difference between these two here is that All Might’s muscles were kind of a product of his quirk. Star and Stripe’s muscles are all-natural — maybe.

Star and Stripe fighting Shigaraki from the anime series My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139
Star and Stripe fighting Shigaraki

Now, no matter what she does, Star and Stripe can’t be as strong as All Might. Unless you have All for One or whatever Muscular’s quirk is called, the human body can’t stand being that strong. So, Star and Stripe uses her own quirk to power herself up as much as her body can handle.

This is why I say that her muscles might be all-natural. She’s ripped even when not fighting villains. But, it’s also possible that she has her quirk active on her own body 24/7. If she does, then she might not be as ripped as she looks.

Why does Star and Stripe try to hard to emulate All Might, though? Well, as with Deku, All Might saved her when she was a child. He was an exchange student in the US at the time and stopped the car she was in from getting crushed. Ever since, she wanted to be like him.

Quirk: New Order

Okay, enough stalling. It’s time to talk about Star and Stripe’s quirk: New Order. This is one of the most powerful quirks out there. I’d say it’s on par with All-for-One and One-for-All. And it’s definitely above a quirk like Endeavor’s.

If Star and Stripe touches something and says its name (or what it’s called), she can then create a new “rule” for it to abide by. The very first time we see her use her quirk, she uses it on the air itself. She makes all the air around Shigaraki disappear, creating a vacuum.

That’s not the only way she uses her quirk in this fight, though. She also touches lasers and makes them grabable. And, she touches Shigaraki and says that if he moves, his heart will stop. Again, this is one of the most powerful quirks.

Star and Stripe using her quirk on Shigaraki from the anime series My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139
Star and Stripe using her quirk on Shigaraki

What about the constraints on her quirk? Needing to touch and name the object/person she touched is the first constraint. That’s not always going to be an easy thing to do — as we saw with Shigaraki. Sure, she touched him, but because his identity is combining with All-for-One’s, he’s not Shigaraki.

I’d also imagine she’d have a tough time fighting someone like Mirio. She literally wouldn’t be able to touch him. And, even if she bends the rules for other objects, Mirio can phase through those, as well. But, there is one thing that might work against him.

What if Star and Stripe sets a rule on her fist that other objects can’t pass through it? Would it then be able to hit Mirio?

Anyway, the second constraint is that she can only have two rules active at once. Though, at the end of the episode, I think she had three.

Final Thoughts

What do you think of My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 139? Star and Stripe might be America’s #1 hero. But, do you think she’s the strongest hero in the world right now? How did you feel about her quirk not working on Shigaraki? And, how do you think she’ll use it on the incoming ICBMs?

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53 Review

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53 Review

Meeting of Lubelius Knights

Okay, so I know I complained about the majority of the previous episode being a meeting. But, literally 99% of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53 was a meeting. This season really is nothing more than a meeting simulator.

With that said, I actually didn’t find this episode to be as boring as the previous episodes. Though, I can’t say I knew what was going on the entire time. It looks like there’s a lot of stuff I’ve forgotten from the earlier seasons.

I mean, at least this meeting was about interesting stuff: The potential threat of Rimuru and Veldora. The meetings from the episodes before this one were all about mundane things like ensuring roads are safe. I don’t care about any of that small-scale stuff. I want to know more about the politics of this world on a macro-scale.

Hinata leading a meeting of knights from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53
Hinata leading a meeting of knights

Now, this meeting of the Lubelius Knights didn’t go as I expected. They all agreed that Rimuru is very dangerous and that he’s an awakened Demon Lord. I thought there were more awakened Demon Lords. But, apparently, it’s only Rimuru, Guy, and Milim.

It could be that there are more who are awakened, but that their awakening isn’t common knowledge. Like, Carrion and Freya not being awakened is fine. But, are you telling me that Valentine isn’t awakened? That seems pretty unlikely. I’m sure someone will tell me if I’m wrong, though.

Anyway, at this meeting, they also all agree that Veldora is even more of a threat than Rimuru. And yet, the conclusion Hinata comes to is that Lubelius won’t act. She pretty much says that Rimuru and Veldora are too dangerous to fight, and so Lubelius won’t fight. That seemed pretty easy for Rimuru.

The Seven Luminaries’ Schemes

One of the things I forgot about that came up in this episode was the Seven Luminaries. That name sounds familiar, so I’m sure they were at least mentioned in a previous season. But, I have no recollection of Hinata defeating them and taking their abilities.

And, on a related note, I completely forgot that Hinata is an otherworlder unless this was brand-new information. I thought Shizu was an otherworlder who adopted Hinata in this world. I didn’t remember them both being otherworlders. Wasn’t there a whole plotline about Hinata not understanding how Rimuru and Shizu were from the same place?

I thought that was one of the major reasons why Hinata was Rimuru’s enemy. She thought Rimuru killed Hinata, yes. But also, she didn’t believe that Rimuru actually had something in common with Hinata. Well, I guess she believes him now, for some reason.

The Seven Luminaries from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53
The Seven Luminaries

Okay, but, back to the Seven Luminaries. These old guys seem to be up to something. Reyhiem was supposed to have been converted to Tempest’s side. And yet, after the Seven Luminaries show up, he tells Hinata and the knights the truth. It wasn’t Veldora who destroyed Falmuth’s army, it was Rimuru.

That was odd. But then, the Seven Luminaries are also the ones who prompt Reyhiem to give Hinata the message from Rimuru. We don’t know what this message was supposed to say. However, my impression is that someone altered it. In it, Rimuru challenges Hinata to a duel. But, when we see Rimuru at the end of the episode, he seems surprised that she wants to fight.

Finally, Reyhiem suddenly dies at some point. So it seems pretty clear that the Seven Luminaries were using him to pit Hinata and Tempest against each other. Will it work?

The Dragon Buster

As part of their schemes, the Seven Luminaries give Hinata a special sword: The Dragon Buster. Considering they had just said that nothing could wound Veldora, I have to assume they meant nothing but this sword. So, it’s pretty obvious what they want Hinata to do.

They want her to die.

I mean, sure, they want her to slay Veldora, too. But, as Hinata points out, that’s likely only half of their plan. The best outcome for the Seven Luminaries would be for both Veldora and Hinata to kill each other.

So, what are the other outcomes, and how good are they for the Seven Luminaries? The next best outcome is probably for Hinata alone to die. She seems to be a problem for the Seven Luminaries. And, if she dies, it’s possible that they’ll get back the powers she took from them.

The Dragon Buster sword from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 53
The Dragon Buster sword

After that, there’s Hinata killing Veldora. Yes, Veldora is a huge threat to the world. But, is he a huge threat to the Seven Luminaries personally? I doubt it. They’re more concerned with Hinata. And, if Hinata slays Veldora and survives, that could actually be bad for them — it would make Hinata a true hero.

Then, there’s the possibility that things stay as they currently are. Both Veldora and Hinata would be alive, which is bad. But, at least they’re enemies — in theory. The status quo isn’t great, but it’s not the worst outcome.

Of course, the worst outcome would be for Hinata and Tempest to ally with each other. That’s the thing that the Seven Luminaries want to stop at all costs. This is also likely why they altered Rimuru’s message to her and gave her the Dragon Buster. They’re trying to antagonize both sides against each other.

Final Thoughts

What do you think of Tensura Season 3 Episode 53? Even though this episode was all one, long meeting, did you find it more interesting than the earlier episodes? How do you think the Seven Luminaries are going to interfere next? And, what do you expect to be the outcome of Rimuru and Hinata’s meeting?

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1 Review

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1 Review

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1 anime movie cover art
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1

The True Solar Eclipse Conspiracy

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1 (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal Movie 1 / 劇場版 美少女戦士セーラームーンEternal) is the sequel to Sailor Moon Crystal. There are three seasons of Crystal, then two movies of Eternal, and then two more movies of Cosmos.

I’ll get through all the movies eventually. But, let’s focus on Eternal (Part 1) in this review. Eternal covers the fourth story arc, the Dead Moon Circus arc. And, as you might expect, Eternal Part 1 focuses on the first half. It sets everything up for Eternal Part 2, which I expect to be better.

Here’s the setup, a solar eclipse happens and some villains show up from another dimension. These villains are members of the Dead Moon Circus, who are trying to revive their evil queen. You know, standard Sailor Moon villainry.

Rei, Ami, Minako, and Makoto looking at a solar eclipse from the anime movie Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1
Rei, Ami, Minako, and Makoto looking at a solar eclipse

Coincidentally, there are four main members of the Dead Moon Circus, whom I’ll get to later. Why is this a coincidence? Because there are four main Sailor Guardians aside from Sailor Moon. There’s Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. And, wouldn’t you know? The four main members of the Dead Moon Circus control the same “elements” as those Sailor Guardians.

Wow! It’s almost like we’re going to see each member of each group paired up against each other.

If you haven’t guessed by now, that’s exactly what happens in this movie. It’s weird to say, but this movie feels very episodic.

Sure, there’s still an overarching plot. Usagi and Chibiusa have stuff going on. But, a significant portion of this movie is dedicated to the Sailor Guardians vs. the members of Dead Moon Circus. And, each of these battles follows the same formula. We pretty much see the same thing happen four times.

Dead Moon Circus

Alright, let’s talk about Dead Moon Circus. Who are they and what are they all about? As I mentioned, their goal is to revive their queen, Nehellenia. If that sounds familiar, it’s basically the same plot as the Dark Kingdom arc from Crystal Season 1.

The main difference is that the Dark Kingdom had Queen Beryl trying to revive Queen Metalia. In this arc, we have Zirconia trying to revive Nehellenia.

Okay, so who’s Zirconia? We don’t know that much about her. But, she’s the interim leader of Dead Moon Circus while Nehellenia isn’t around. She’s an old woman who looks like an alien.

Aside from Nehellenia and Zirconia, there are four other, previously mentioned, members of the group. I don’t believe we got their names in this first movie. But, we know they call themselves the Amazoness Quartet. They’re the descendants of the legendary Amazoness warriors.

The Amazoness Quartet from the anime movie Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1
The Amazoness Quartet

The Amazoness Quartet controls “Lemures” in battle. Lemures are like little shadow spirit things that remind me of the soot creatures from Ghibli films. These Lemures get inside the bodies of their victims and turn their dreams into nightmares. This somehow creates dark energy, which the Dead Moon Circus collects to revive their queen.

What does it mean to turn a dream into a nightmare, though? Let’s look at Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) as an example. Her dream is to become a doctor, so she’s studied hard all her life.

The Lemures twisted her dedication into a bad thing. They tried to convince her that this is why she’s not very close to her parents. Rather than spending time with them, she spent all her time studying.

There are also three male(?) sub-members of Dead Moon Circus, who were transformed from animals into humans. They work under the Amazoness Quartet.

Mamoru Gets Lung Cancer

So, there are some other weird things that happen in this movie. For starters, none of the Sailor Guardians can transform after the solar eclipse. That should make things interesting, right? Well, it doesn’t because they all awaken new ways to transform.

Okay, but these new ways to transform are different and more powerful than the old ways, right? Again, no. At least, not that I could tell. They use different objects to transform now, but the transformations are the same. It doesn’t appear that they received any new abilities or got any stronger.

Next, Chibiusa gets into a romantic relationship with a horse. To be precise, it’s actually a pegasus. I’m not sure if that makes it any less strange. But, when the pegasus kisses her, it transforms into a boy. So, that’s good. At least he has a human form.

Helios in human form from the anime movie Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1
Helios in human form

This pegasus boy is Helios and he’s one of Mamoru’s knights from the future. In case you forgot, Chibiusa is the future daughter of Usagi and Mamoru. I don’t believe Usagi and Mamoru know this, but Chibiusa does. So, Helios is Chibiusa’s future boyfriend, I guess.

Finally, Mamoru gets lung cancer. Okay, so not really. But, he kind of does. He’s coughing a lot and even coughing up blood. Then, when he goes to a doctor to get checked out, he’s told that he has a dark spot in his lungs. A spot on your lungs sounds a lot like cancer, to me. But, this doctor doesn’t seem all that concerned.

Of course, it’s not cancer. This dark spot is one of the Lemures that got inside Mamoru’s body. In this movie, this just means Mamoru is out of commission. But, I assume it will be more relevant in the second movie.

Final Thoughts

I really liked Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3. That was peak Sailor Moon, for me. Unfortunately, since that was the peak, it means Sailor Moon Eternal Part 1 isn’t. In the end, I gave this movie a 6/10, which is the same I gave the first two seasons of Crystal.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4 Review

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4 Review

Going on a Date with Megumin

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4 had some twists that weren’t really twists. But, that didn’t stop the episode from being another great one. Predictability doesn’t matter quite as much in a comedy series.

Sure, if you can predict the punchline of every joke, it might not be funny. However, KonoSuba, at least to me, uses predictability as part of the joke. And, a good example of this comes when Megumin asks Kazuma to go on a date with her.

The setup of this joke is the fact that Megumin’s acting extra cute. I’d say she’s always cute. But, Kazuma notes that normally she wouldn’t be so concerned about him. So, when she asks him out on a date, the implication is that she’s finally being true to her feelings for him.

Megumin asking Kazuma out on a date from the anime series KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4
Megumin asking Kazuma out on a date

Well, that’s what the implication would be to someone who doesn’t know Megumin. As soon as she asked Kazuma to go on a date with her, I knew where this was going. You also likely knew where this was going. There’s only one reason why Megumin would ever ask Kazuma to go somewhere with her alone.

Explosion magic.

And, what do you know? That’s exactly what this was about. Megumin wanted Kazuma to go with her so that he could carry her back after she used her magic. This was the obvious outcome. But, that didn’t ruin the joke. The joke worked because we knew it was the obvious outcome.

When you really think about it, though, to Megumin, this is a date. Her idea of a date is traveling outside of town and blowing something up. In that sense, she didn’t lie. And, Kazuma also gets to carry a cute girl back home. It’s a win-win.

A Thief in the Night

Alright, so, I brought up the whole predictability thing with Megumin to segue into this. In my review of Episode 3, I predicted that Chris would be the noble thief. And, look at that. I was correct.

Again, the fact that this outcome seemed very predictable didn’t ruin any of the comedy. The surprise that it was Chris wasn’t the joke in and of itself. Chris being the noble thief is what led to the joke of Kazuma not wanting to get involved. Because Kazuma knows Chris, she tries to rope him into her scheme.

What is her scheme? Well, it’s a little different than what we were first told by the nobles. The initial setup was that this noble thief was stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Chris might be doing that. But, that’s not her main goal.

Chris scared of getting caught from the anime series KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4
Chris scared of getting caught

What she’s really after are the treasures that reincarnated “heroes” are bringing into this world. Things like Mitsuki’s cursed sword. Why? We don’t yet know. She says she can’t reveal her employer or why they want her to gather these items. But, I’m assuming it’s because they’re dangerous.

Think of it this way. Mitsuki being reincarnated as a hero and having a cursed sword is fine. But, what about after Mitsuki dies? Or, what about if someone were to steal his cursed sword and sell it? Then, you have a cursed sword floating around out there that could get into the wrong hands.

Now, although I don’t know who Chris’s employer is, I have a strong feeling about something else. From what I remember, Mitsuki never got his sword back after Kazuma sold it. So, I’m predicting that it’ll turn up in the hands of one of the Demon King’s Generals.

Time to Fight the Demon King’s Army

At the end of Episode 4, the Demon King’s army has arrived outside the Royal Capital. This seems like something that happens pretty frequently. So, it’s probably not a huge issue.

But, as a Crusader, Darkness wants to join the fight — and she wants to bring Kazuma, Aqua, and Megumin.

As you might expect, Kazuma isn’t too thrilled by this. He doesn’t want to get into dangerous situations. All he’s looking for is a cozy, safe, carefree life. Facing off against the Demon Lord’s army on the battlefield is the exact opposite of that.

However, he does eventually come around after realizing something important. He doesn’t need to put himself in too much danger. But, if he can show off his heroics during this battle, he might be able to live out the rest of his days in the castle with Iris.

Megumin declaring she's going to wipe out the Demon King's army from the anime series KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4
Megumin declaring she’s going to wipe out the Demon King’s army

Aqua also doesn’t want to fight against the Demon King’s army. But, unlike Kazuma, she doesn’t come around to it in the end. You’d think she’d be pushing Kazuma to go, though, considering she needs him to defeat the Demon King. That’s her only way back to heaven.

And, Megumin doesn’t need to be asked twice. Not only does she want to fight the Demon King’s army. But, she wants to be the first one there. If she can arrive on the battlefield before the capital’s knights, she can blow away the enemy army with a single spell.

Sure, she could also do that after the knights are there. However, once the battle gets underway, it’ll be impossible for her to use her magic without taking out friendly soldiers, as well. And, she wants all the glory for herself.

Final Thoughts

What do you think of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 Episode 4? Did you see the “date” with Megumin going like that before the reveal? Did you predict that the noble thief would be Chris? And, who do you think Chris’s employer is?
